Friday March 27 Session Recap
Our Friday, March 27, 2026 session at Cotto Cafe near the FPT area went really well, with strong turnout, great feedback from members, and a cafe partnership offer that could make future sessions there even better.
Session details
Our Friday, March 27, 2026 session was hosted at Cotto Cafe near the FPT area south of Da Nang, and overall it was a very successful night.
We had multiple tables running at once, a good mix of Vietnamese and international members, and some genuinely lovely feedback afterwards from people who said the session felt helpful, welcoming, and worth joining again.
Small tables that actually worked
The room setup made it easy to split into several conversations without losing the friendly overall atmosphere.
Good turnout and good energy
There were enough people to keep table rotations interesting, while still giving everyone real space to talk.
What Went Well
- We had a strong turnout and several tables stayed active throughout the evening.
- Newer members were able to join in without the night feeling too intense or too noisy.
- The food and cafe topic made it easy for people to start conversations quickly.
- Feedback after the session was very positive, with members saying they found it helpful, enjoyable, and worth doing again.
Member Feedback
"Thank you Kade for organizing such a great session. It was really helpful for everyone to have the chance to practice together and learn from each other."
Van Nguyen, after the Friday session"Thank you Kade for a fun and engaging evening. I look forward to joining regularly to improve my Vietnamese conversation skills."
Emily, after the Friday sessionA Few Honest Notes
- Drink orders caused a bit of a hold-up at the start, so we began around 15 minutes later than planned.
- The room acoustics were a little echoey once several tables got going.
- If we return to Cotto Cafe, we will make better use of the outdoor balcony to spread tables out and reduce noise.
Good News From Cotto Cafe
Cotto were happy with how the session went and have offered a generous 15% discount on their menu for participating members when we host sessions there.
That makes Cotto an even stronger option for future meetups, especially if we use both the indoor room and the balcony more deliberately next time.
