Friday April 3 At An Hoi Cafe
Our Friday, April 3, 2026 session at An Hoi Cafe was a smaller, relaxed evening with strong short-notice turnout, many new faces, and an outdoor setting that people really enjoyed.
Session details
Our Friday, April 3, 2026 session at An Hoi Cafe turned into a cozy and memorable night.
The venue announcement went out later than it should have, but even with that short notice we still had around 12 people join, including a strong group of new faces. The outdoor courtyard setting gave the evening a relaxed rhythm and made it easy for people to settle into conversation.
A cozy Friday setup
Smaller numbers gave the evening a calmer pace, and the courtyard layout still kept the group feeling connected.
An easy venue to enjoy
The lighting, plants, and open-air seating gave the whole night a softer and more welcoming feel.
Relaxed atmosphere
People repeatedly mentioned how comfortable the venue felt, which helped conversations stay easy and natural.
What Went Well
- The relaxed atmosphere helped people talk naturally and settle in quickly.
- Around 12 people came, which made the night feel active without becoming noisy or hard to manage.
- The short-notice turnout was still strong thanks to both returning members and new faces deciding to join.
- Staff at An Hoi Cafe were exceptionally helpful throughout the evening.
- The owner offered a 10% discount, which made the venue even more appealing for members.
Special Welcome
A special welcome to Moon (Vietnam), Danny (Canada), Jeremy (Canada), Kirill (France), Robert (America), Jayce (Vietnam), Elle (Vietnam), and the other new faces who helped make the night work at short notice.
What To Improve Next Time
- The location announcement went out too late, around 4:00 PM on the day, which likely stopped more people from joining.
- For future sessions, venue details should go out at least 1 to 2 days in advance whenever possible.
- We should keep building on the warm, lower-pressure format from this night because it clearly worked well for new members.
Thanks To The Venue
Special thanks to the staff at An Hoi Cafe for their hard work and excellent service throughout the evening.
This was a good reminder that a smaller Friday session can still be a very strong one when the atmosphere is right.
